Flight at 7:10 means waking up at 5 am.
Traffic is light but I miss an exit. After I turn around, I am driving in a parking lot because of a big accident that just happened.
I’d get mad if I didn’t realize that that could have been me.
I arrive at the airport late and it is super crowded. I am sleepy and tired and try to make my way through people. In front of me at the check in counter a mom is pushing a stroller and holding hands with her daughter. The little girl is about 3 and she is holding hands with her sister who looks to be 5. She in turn hold hands with yet another sister who looks to be about 7.
My backpacks just got a lot lighter.
At the counter, they say I am too late to catch the 7am flight and need to wait 3h for the next one.
I’d get mad but I noticed I got bumped to first class for the first time in my life.
It is hard not to be an optimist when you pay a little bit of attention. Or maybe I am just lucky after all…
Ah, and the free WiFi on SeaTac is faster than what I had in my hotel. :-p
