According to the OECD Factblog, we learn that the current increase in unemployment has hit young workers harder than older ones.
I think this is good news! I know, I know… unemployment is overall a bad thing. However, the fact that we have a knowledge based economy in OECD countries and that this type of economy allows older people (who are usually responsible for larger families and can actually help younger unemployed people in emergency times) to keep their jobs is a great thing.
And by the way, check out the unemployment numbers of the socialist heaven of Sweden… Boy oh boy, can you imagine if we had these numbers in the US before any crisis hit? Kucinich would be the President for sure!
