hehehe, I am not saying that I want the government to start cutting off spinal cords. All I am saying is, if this guy ends up paralyzed (which is one of the worse things that can happen to a human being) I think it sounds like poetic (or god’s, or whatever) justice.
This is a guy who destroyed several lives for nothing. He deserves to suffer, be it from the government’s hand or from whoever. I know it is a sllipery slope when we talk about government deciding life or death, but hey, that is society. Otherwise you would have the victim’s families taking justice in their own hands and things would easily get out of control.
Well, we’re not restrict to these two ways, right? Before we talk about if government or people should take lifes themselves, we can discuss if death is a valid penalty for any kind of criminal.
You see, it’s sliperiness itself. You live there for how long? I t took you nothing to get used to death peanlty idea. And it’s not about you at all, it’s just how society gets used to some pratical things – that are so wrong.
Punishing someone through the same crime society has decided that deserves punishment is something seriously irational to me.
