Hahaha, I worked – and occasionally still work – for Aventuras na História. I gathered part of the information regarding Alberto Santos Dumont in my recent post when working in an article about WWI. Of course I couldn’t state it clearly that Dumont did not invent the airplane at all. But I felt like a hero just for saying the guy killed himself because of the Wright brothers.
No need to apologize. Funny thing is that Editora Abril is considered a “right wing” organization in Brazil. By the way, I know those people personally, but I have never written anything against my beliefs, as their apologist articles about Islam and communism.
Most commonly, I write about games, books, weapons, wars and such. Nevertheless I once reviewed two books about Russian and Chinese revolution. The one about 1917 seemed reasonably critical to me. But the other was just apologist junk, only a single line about Tianmen Square. The ironic title I gave to those reviews was: “O mau Stalin e o bom Mao”.
I don’t like those comics thus, the illustrator made some painful mistakes and did not followed my instructions at all. But, as you can see, being focused in an American prisoner, it has a slightly anti-communist point of view.
