A friend of mine was telling me about her trip to the Nordic countries and mentioned that Finland is by far the most “communist like” of them. As an example, she told me that in Finland your speed tickets are based on your income.
I thought that was almost unbelievable and googled it. It is of course, true. Because of that law, Finland holds the record for the most expensive speed ticket ever: 170,000 euros.
Not only that, but they have created a system to check your finances on the spot.
Can you imagine how profiling has a brand new twist because of this? I can imagine rich guys buying old looking cars just to avoid being targeted. Or maybe not pushing that extra mile for the bonus at the end of the year. “Never mind the taxes. I would never be able to drive again honey!”
The good old socialist race to the bottom.
