Maybe Frank Miller has a bit more Dark Knight in him then most would have thought:
“Everybody’s been too damn polite about this nonsense:
The “Occupy” movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment. “Occupy” is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America.”
There you go.

Here in Rio de Janeiro there are protests every single day in Cinelandia. I dodge them and keep taking care of my life.
Is not that the whole country stops and all the bloggers mobilize in favor or against our protesters, we just don’t care, because they are just expressing their right for free speech without being called a coward, thief, rapist or unruly.
But hey, the beacon of democracy is the U.S., not us down here… we just sit, waiting for the marines to teach us democracy. lol
I am old. I am from the time when “peaceful occupation” was an oxymoron.
Bruno,
Where did I say that these protests should be illegal?
They are stupid. But as far as I know, being stupid is still legal here. Otherwise the Democrats would be in big trouble.
I’m not saying that they should be illegal either, I’m just saying that the protesters have the right to express themselves without being called cowards, thieves and such. This is so basic, that I really feel uncomfortable explaining to you.
At least they bring the income disparity problem to the debate, which is very positive.
BTW, being stupid in the USA is not legal but mandatory. lol
